What you don't see CAN hurt you!

One of the purposes of this blog is to show that it is not only the images you see but also images you don't see that create the word.

I'd like to undermine that.

For example sometime this month I'm going to challenge you all (all two or three of you) to come up with a hundred images to describe the 20th century. But here are the big guns. After that in september I'm going to post an alternative 100, that tell other stories, other moments important to history in the 20th century that we can not grasp with our current understanding. It will stretch my mind. It will stretch yours.

It will show us that we should know the images for the words we speak, but also the images we do not. That way we can communicate. And only then can we all begin to be on the same page.
